Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
Tap2Color is made by Jun Yuasa, an individual developer in Japan ("we", "us"). This page says exactly what the app keeps about you, where, and for how long.
1. The short version
- No sign-up. We never ask for your name, your email address, your phone number or your location.
- Your coloring stays on your iPad. We cannot see it.
- If you join the Community, the pages you choose to post, your community name and your avatar are stored on Apple's servers so other members can see them. Nothing else about you is.
- No ads, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party code.
- You can delete your Community profile yourself, inside the app, at any time.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect, and cannot collect: your real name, your email address, your phone number, your Apple Account details, your location, your contacts, your photos, or any advertising identifier. The app contains no analytics and no third-party trackers. Its privacy manifest declares no tracking.
3. What stays on your iPad only
Your coloring progress, your saved swatches and collections, your Gallery, your settings, the swatches you collected from Community posts, and the badges you earned. None of this is sent to us.
Backups. If you turn on Online Backup in Settings, the app writes a small backup file of your coloring progress into your own iCloud Drive, in a folder called Tap2Color Backups. It is your file, in your iCloud, under Apple's iCloud terms. We cannot read it. You can delete it from Manage Backups in the app or from the Files app.
4. What is stored on Apple's servers when you join the Community
The Community runs on Apple's CloudKit service inside our developer account. Apple hosts it under Apple's own terms. When you join, these things are stored there:
- Your profile: your community name, your avatar, the day you joined, the day you first opened the app, whether your subscription is running (paid, trial or none), any strikes and any pause on your Community access, when you last changed your name, and, if you redeemed an Apple offer code, the name of that offer and the date.
- Your posts: the colored picture and its thumbnail, the coloring recipe and the swatches used, the artwork's name, and your name and avatar as shown on the post.
- Your activity: your likes, the swatches you collected from posts, the members you follow, the members you blocked, and the badges you earned in the Community.
- Your reports: the reason you chose and any text you typed when you reported a post or a member.
- Your notification choices: which kinds of lock-screen notifications you turned on. Apple's servers send the notifications; we never store your device token.
Each record is tied to your profile through a code Apple gives us for your Apple Account. That code does not contain your name, email address or phone number, and we cannot turn it into them.
Who sees what. Other members see your community name, your avatar, your posts and their like, view and collect counts, who you follow and who follows you, and your likes on posts. Only we see reports, strikes, your subscription state, your offer code and the receipt described in section 6.
5. How we use it
Only to run the app: to show your posts and profile to other members, to count likes, views and collected swatches, to award badges, to review reports and keep the Community safe, and to answer you if you write to us. We do not sell, rent or share any of it with anyone. The one third party that holds it is Apple, as the host of the servers, under Apple's terms.
6. Deleting and keeping
You delete it yourself. In the app, open your profile, tap Edit Profile, then Delete My Community Profile. At the tap, your profile, your posts, your likes, your collected-swatch records, your follows, your blocks and your badge records are removed from the servers at once. There is no waiting period and no way back.
What stays after a deletion, and why:
- Your community name, held so nobody can take it, with the date of the deletion and the Apple Account code that asked for it. This is the receipt that proves who deleted the profile, and it keeps a deleted name from being reused by a stranger.
- Reports you filed and reports about you, kept so that moderation decisions can be reviewed.
- Other members' follows and blocks of you, until their own iPads clean them up, which happens the next time they open the Community.
- If your Community access was closed for breaking the rules, the record that closed it, so the closure holds.
- Counters on your posts (likes, views, collections) that carry no picture and no name.
If you do not delete. Deleting the app from your iPad does not delete your Community profile; reinstalling with the same Apple Account brings it back. Your profile stays as long as the Community exists.
Backups are in your own iCloud Drive and are yours to delete at any time.
7. Children
The Community is for people aged 13 and up. We do not knowingly keep a profile for anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has a profile, write to us and we will remove it.
8. Your choices
You choose whether to subscribe, whether to join the Community, what to post, whether to turn on notifications, and whether to keep a backup. Each of these can be reversed inside the app. Withdrawing from the Community is the deletion described in section 6.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this page. The date at the top tells you when. If a change matters, the app tells you once.
