Community rules and how moderation works

The Tap2Color Community is a public gallery of colored pages. There are no captions, no comments and no messages: the only words a member ever writes are their community name and the note in a report. This page says what is allowed, what happens to what is not, and how to reach us.

The rules

Choose a community name that would not offend a stranger and does not pretend to be someone else. A name that spreads hate or an offensive word directly or indirectly, spelled with numbers, split up, hidden inside other letters or read in another language, is not allowed.
Post only pages you colored yourself in Tap2Color, colored at least 90 percent.
Do not make hate symbols or offensive words or shapes in a page in any way: not with the colors chosen, not with patterns or gradients, not with how areas are filled.
Up to 3 posts a day. No spam.
Report only what truly breaks these rules. Reports made in bad faith count against the reporter.
The Community is for people aged 13 and up.

Before anything is posted

Every community name is checked the moment it is typed against a list of blocked words and reserved names, in English and in Japanese written with Latin letters, including words hidden inside a name or spelled with numbers. A name that fails is refused on the spot. Posts are pictures of colored artwork pages from the app; a page under 90 percent colored cannot be posted.

Reporting

Any member, and anyone looking at the Community without a profile, can report a post or a member from the three-dots menu, for one of six reasons: offensive or inappropriate community name, impersonating someone, inappropriate coloring, unfinished page, spam, or other (with a note). The reported post is hidden from the reporter's own feed at once. If five different members report the same post, it is hidden from everyone until a person reviews it.

A real person reads every report, usually within 24 hours.

What happens when a report is confirmed

One strike. The post is removed and the member is told the reason in their notifications.
Two strikes. The post is removed and the member's Community is paused for 7 days: they can browse, but not post, like, follow or collect swatches. Nothing is announced to anyone else.
Three strikes. The member's Community access is closed for good. Their posts are hidden. They can still browse and keep coloring in the app.
A name that breaks the rules is replaced at once with a temporary name, the old name is blocked for everyone, the member is asked to choose a new name, and it counts as one strike.
Anything serious enough can close access at once.

We decide what keeps the Community and the app safe. We may remove any post, replace any name, or pause or close any member's access at any time, without prior notice, when we judge it appropriate for the safety of the Community and the app, whether or not the case is listed here.

Reports that turn out to be unfounded cost nothing the first time. Repeated or clearly abusive reporting earns the reporter a strike: after one, their reports no longer hide anything automatically; after two, they cannot report for 30 days; after three, their access is closed.

Blocking

Any member can block any other member. Neither sees the other's posts or profile, nobody is notified, and the block can be undone at any time from the Blocked list in the member's own profile.
